From 15/11/10 (today) to 18/11/10 (Thursday) it’s ‘influence week’. Each day i will create a post expressing a certain idol of mines, style and how you can incorporate bits of their look into yours.

Day 1: MONDAY 15th NOVEMBER
Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen
These petite twins could successfully pull off wearing a paper bag over her head and a potato sack around her body. As i like to call them the “Queens of chic grunge”, Mary-Kate and Ashley are extreme street style addicts who likes to mix cheap with designer.
I love MK&A’s alternate edge to their wardrobe and sea water styled hair. MK strikes a great occasional fur coat, sky scraping heels, oversized bag’s and mattered XL T-shirts while Ashley pulls of a gorgeous pair of large sun glasses and tailored blazers.
An essential item that Mary-Kate works well is her grungy boyfriend jeans. Get this Look by: 1. heading down to a second hand clothing store near you (vinnie’s and Kirribilli markets area personal favourite of mine) and grab yourself a pair of old dated baggy jeans perfect to mess up (literally)! 2. Using scissors and a cheap razer, cut, rib and shave the denim around the knees until they look damaged in a natural form. 3. Lastly simply role up the bottom until they are above the ankle.
